Meet Tim

Hi, I’m Tim Robinson, a 20-year veteran teacher from Michigan! In those 20 years, I have taught everything from 6th through 12th grades, and even had a few years being an instructional coach. But, my passion is middle school – actually, it’s making middle school history and social studies fun, inclusive and exciting. When I’m not teaching or blogging about middle school social studies, I enjoy writing, camping and hanging out with my family.

A Team Effort

Preparing Lifelong Learners is a team effort, and this is the other half of my team – my wife, Jen. She is an amazing elementary educator who also blogs and sells resources through Teachers Pay Teachers. We started creating resources in 2012 as a way to share our passion for teaching and learning and look forward to continuing to do so in the future!

The Rest of the Family!

Lastly, these are my three kiddos at one of our all-time favorite camping destinations – Marquette, MI. They are wet from jumping off the Black Rocks into a very freezing Lake Superior – the water temperature was only 49 degrees that day! Although they are not resource creators, they are very much part of Preparing Lifelong Learners in that they are often test subjects for our resources – thanks, guys!
